Brothers and Sisters of Christ Church:
Today is the Third Sunday after Trinity. Today is also Father’s Day. The readings today draw our attention to the theme of forgiveness and the extravagant grace of God. Out of God’s boundless love for us, he sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the once-for-all sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. Such grace is available to all if we but embrace the life of faith in Jesus Christ.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. The Adult Forum will continue the Catholic Renewal series by beginning a new section on the seven Sacraments.
Mass begins at 11:00 a.m.
UPCOMING EVENTS
– 25 June 2013, Theology After Hours, 6:30 p.m., at the church.
– 29 June 2013, Parish Men’s Group, 5:30 p.m., at the Lemieux residence. Our own Beer Meister, Rich Lemieux, will teach the men how to make beer.
– 7 July 2013, Women of the Church will meet immediately after Mass. Final preparations will be made for the quarterly Cedar Ridge event.
– 13 July 2013, 2:00 p.m., Cedar Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Our quarterly Cedar Ridge event will be based on a patriotic theme. We will enjoy Happy Hour with the residence, enjoy some fellowship, and sing some patriotic songs. The Women of the Church have also made flag magnets that will be given to all the residence in attendance. Come on out; you’ll have a GREAT time!
