Brothers and Sisters of Christ Church:
Today is the Second Sunday after Trinity. In today’s readings we will hear about the power of God to heal and give life. This is a powerful theme, especially in the culture of death in which we now live. We Christians are to be a people of life.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. The Adult Forum will continue the Catholic Renewal series completing some discussion on some of the additional heresies the Church had to contend with during the period of the Ecumenical Councils. Next Sunday we will begin teaching on each of the sacraments.
Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. Our preacher today is Fr. Gregory Mashburn, OSB.
The Bishop’s Committee will meet immediately following Mass. All members of Christ Church are strongly encouraged to attend the first 10-15 minutes of the meeting in order to hear a report from the Chair of the Evangelism Committee, and to offer thoughts and suggestions.
