Brothers and Sisters of Christ Church:
Today is the First Sunday after Trinity. Today we hear the Centurion give us the words from which we pray so often right before we come forward to receive Communion: “Lord, I am not worthy to receive you. But, only say word and I shall be healed.”
We have also now entered into the long ‘green’ period of the Church Year where we focus on the growth of the Church. Our Evangelism Committee is working on a Parish Collect for Mission, which we will pray together at the end of Mass, just before the Dismissal. Over the course of these next several months, I pray that we all begin to challenge ourselves with the boldness of the disciples of the early Church. By the power of the Holy Spirit, may we have the same impact on our own cultural context as they did theirs.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. The Adult Forum will continue the Catholic Renewal series focusing on the 6th Ecumenical Council that dealt with the heresy of Monotheletism, and the 7th Ecumenical Council which dealt with whether or not images could be used in the Church.
Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. Postulant David Byer will be our Preacher.
The Women of the Church will meet immediately following Mass.
Upcoming Events
